About Us
My name is Karen, the owner and NMC registered advanced clinical nurse practitioner and nurse prescriber within Skin Solutions Aesthetic Clinic Ltd. I am fully trained and insured with over 10 years NHS experience. This includes specialising in community nursing, specialist community public health nursing (health visitor) and as a Senior Advanced Clinical Practitioner within an urgent treatment centre dealing with every aspect of injury and illness, including emergency care. I am still employed 4 days a week in the NHS allowing me to offer a variety of days and evenings in my clinic. .
In addition to my advanced nurse training and annual mandatory training updates within the NHS, I am a competent and confident aesthetics practitioner having received training from the top aesthetics institutions and I have also invested heavily in courses by the world renowned Dr Tim Pearce in both neurotoxin and dermal filler treatments. I have also undertaken specialised training in health and wellbeing treatments for conditions such as migraine, ear care, sclerotherapy and cyst/abscess removal.
You can find me on the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) professional register, as a registered manager and clinical service provider on the CQC Regulatory Body's register, an accredited practitioner and practice on Save Face, the government approved register and a member of the ACE group, whose work on producing the most up to date evidence based and peer reviewed clinical guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and management of common and serious complications that may occur in non-surgical aesthetic practice, aims to provide further reassurance to all clients.
Our clinic is also registered on the LGBTQ+ Friendly Directory. This demonstrates that we provide a safe and inclusive space for members of the LGBTQ community where you will feel welcomed and valued.
