Electrolysis Hair Removal

Electrolysis hair removal treatment involves the movement of an electric current down an extremely fine wire to the bottom of the hair follicle, without puncturing the skin.   The electric current destroys it permanently,, removes any existing hair and prevents a hair from ever growing again.  

The number of sessions will vary and depends on factors such as the size of the area to be treated and the density of the hair growth. It is worth highlighting that electrolysis is considered to be much more time-consuming and painful than laser hair removal which is able to target multiple procedures simultaneously. 

The procedure can be done to any part of the body where unwanted hair is present, such as the face, legs, underarms, and bikini line and shaving prior to the treatment is not required.  Laser hair removal, by contrast, is only able to target hair follicles in the growth phase, and dormant hair follicles will not be affected, which is why multiple laser sessions are needed to achieve the best results,

Lasers for hair removal treatment work by using a light source to destroy the hair. Light directed on to the skin is then absorbed by the melanin pigments in the hair.  This light absorption causes the hair follicle to heat up resulting in an interruption to the hair growth cycle causing the hair to stop growing.

SHR (Super Hair Removal)

SHR is a new technology that combines laser technology and the benefits of the pulsating light (IPL) method achieving painless results.  The treatment is more pleasant than with the conventional systems and your skin is better protected.

SHR uses low energy light via rapid pulses to safely traumatise the stem cells of any unwanted hair, helping prevent any regrowth.
SHR can be performed on all skin types, hair colours and those with suntanned skin.  

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

IPL devices emit a broad spectrum of high-intensity light, making it different from traditional laser treatments that use a single wavelength of light. IPL works by emitting bursts of light that are absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles.  

IPL works best on people who have a high degree of contrast between their hair and skin colour, such as people with fair skin and dark hair. It is not effective on people with darker skin tones as they do not have enough contrast with their hair colour.  

While IPL is a great longer-lasting hair removal solution, the results are not permanent.

Diode

Diode laser treatment works on the principle of ‘selective photothermolysis,’ an optical technique that points heat at the target hair follicles without damaging the surrounding tissue.  A diode laser machine uses this technique to target the melanin in the hair follicles of unwanted body hair to permanently reduce growth and give you flawless skin. Often this laser is used along with cooling technology to reduce any pain or discomfort that the laser might cause.

The main advantages of using a diode laser for your laser hair removal procedure:
