Electrolysis hair removal involves the movement of an electric current down an extremely fine wire to the bottom of the hair follicle, without puncturing the skin. The electric current destroys it permanently,, removes any existing hair and prevents a hair from ever growing again.
The number of sessions will vary and depends on factors such as the size of the area to be treated and the density of the hair growth. It is worth highlighting that electrolysis is considered to be much more time-consuming and painful than laser hair removal which is able to target multiple procedures simultaneously.
The procedure can be done to any part of the body where unwanted hair is present, such as the face, legs, underarms, and bikini line and shaving prior to the treatment is not required. Laser hair removal, by contrast, is only able to target hair follicles in the growth phase, and dormant hair follicles will not be affected, which is why multiple laser sessions are needed to achieve the best results,
Commonly treated areas are the face, chest, legs, arms, underarms and bikini-line
