Weight Loss Management

As per official  guidelines, we are able to offer weight management, weight loss and weight maintenance treatments.  

There are requirements that must be met in order to be eligible to receive this treatment:

1. This must  be as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in adults with an initial Body Mass Index (BMI) of

• ≥ 30 kg/ m2 (obese)

 or

• ≥ 27 kg/m2 to < 30 kg/m2 (overweight) in the presence of at least one weight-related comorbid condition (e.g., hypertension, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes mellitus).

Tirzepatide is administered  once weekly and lowers body weight and body fat mass  through the mechanisms associated with decreased food intake through the regulation of appetite and modulation of fat utilisation.

Procedure Time: 30 mins assessment. Prescription sent to pharmacy and delivered se directly to your home address (or clinic if preferred)

Back to Work: Straight away.

Pain: None 

Anaesthetic: None required

Side Effects: vary - you are advised to report any side effects to the clinic so these can be reported to the MHRA  through the yellow card scheme

Recovery Time: Immediate

Duration of Results: Semi-Permanent to permanent with regulated diet and exercise
